Where are your products made?
We are proud that we design and build all our products right here in Canterbury, NZ. From sourcing NZ timber and using NZ companies to support the economy.
What maintenance do my outdoor play products require?
All our outdoor products, including mud kitchens, sandpits, and picnic tables, are made from H3.2 treated timber, which is suitable for New Zealand's changeable temperatures and environments. Over time, the natural look of the pine timber will go grey. While this weathering process is purely aesthetic and the timber remains protected due to its H3 treatment, you might want to maintain the fresh look.
What can I use on my products to keep them looking great?
To keep your products looking their best and prevent the timber from greying, it's recommended to paint, stain, or oil the wood. Using a timber protect paint or stain, such as British Paints Natural Oil Timber Protect from Bunnings Warehouse, will enhance the appearance and offer additional protection. This maintenance can be done at any stage to keep your outdoor play products in tip-top shape.

Sandpits
Can sandpits be pre-assembled?
Yes, sandpits can be pre-assembled for the additional cost stated on the SANDPITS product page. These are for pickup only.
Can sandpit lids be used for storage or as play surfaces?
While our sandpit lids are sturdy, they are not made for storing/stacking items on top of or for kids (or adults) to play on.
Mud Kitchens
Our Mud Kitchens are delivered almost fully assembled. For shipped units, the knobs are detached and require simple screw-on attachment to prevent damage during transit. This takes only a few minutes and all necessary hardware is included.
Regularly wipe down the chrome taps with a soft, damp cloth to prevent water spots and maintain their shine.
When not in use, we recommend storing the bowls indoors or turning them upside down to prevent water accumulation and debris buildup.
