• Sawdust & Co. ("we," "us," or "our") warrants to the original purchaser ("you") that our products (sandpits, mud kitchens, bookshelves, picnic tables, and other wooden children's products) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of twenty-four (24) months from the original date of purchase ("Warranty Period").

• This limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and conditions. This includes:

  • Structural integrity of the wooden components.

  • Integrity of joinery and assembly.

  • Defects in supplied hardware (screws, bolts, hinges, etc.).

• This limited warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear, including but not limited to scratches, dents, fading, weathering, and natural changes in wood color or grain.

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, or improper installation.

  • Damage caused by exposure to extreme weather conditions (e.g., excessive rain, sun, or frost) beyond normal outdoor use.

  • Damage caused by modifications or alterations to the product made by anyone other than Sawdust & Co. or its authorized representatives. Any modification without prior written approval from Sawdust & Co. will void this warranty.

  • Damage caused by improper cleaning or maintenance.

  • Damage caused by insect infestation or fungal decay after delivery and acceptance of the product.

  • Cosmetic imperfections that do not affect the structural integrity or functionality of the product.

  • Products purchased from unauthorized resellers.

  • Shipping costs for returns under warranty, unless the product is deemed defective upon initial inspection by Sawdust & Co.

• To make a warranty claim, you must:

1. Contact Sawdust & Co. within the Warranty Period, providing proof of purchase (e.g., original receipt or order confirmation) and a detailed description of the defect.

2. Provide clear photographs or videos of the defect.

3. Follow the instructions provided by Sawdust & Co. for returning or inspecting the product.

• At our sole discretion, Sawdust & Co. will either:

  • Repair the defective product.

  • Replace the defective product with a new or refurbished product of equal or similar value.

  • Provide a partial or full refund of the original purchase price.

• This limited warranty is the exclusive warranty provided by Sawdust & Co. and replaces all other warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by law.  

• Sawdust & Co. shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of the use or inability to use the product, even if Sawdust & Co. has been advised of the possibility of such damages, to the extent permitted by law.

• This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from region to region.  

• Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA):

• Nothing in this warranty is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any rights you may have under the CGA. The CGA provides certain guarantees that cannot be excluded or limited, such as guarantees as to acceptable quality, fitness for a particular purpose, and correspondence with description.

• This warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.
